Shadow Work.

The parts of the trade you would rather not look at hold the most information. This is a quiet, honest inquiry into what runs beneath the surface.

The shadow is what we disown: the impulses, fears, and patterns we push out of sight. In trading it shows up as the same mistake made again, the reaction we cannot explain, the feeling we cover with a rule. Meeting it with honesty, rather than judgment, is where the work is. Write freely. No one else sees this.

One
What pattern do you keep repeating, even though you know better?
Name it plainly. Not why. Just what.
Two
What are you protecting when you break your own rules?
Every rule broken protects something. Often a fear of loss, of being wrong, of missing out. What is it guarding?
Three
Whose voice is in your head when you trade badly?
The critic, the gambler, the one who needs to prove something. Where did that voice come from?
Four
What do you judge harshly in other traders?
What irritates us in others often lives, unseen, in us. What you name here is a doorway.
Five
If this pattern were trying to help you, what would it be trying to give you?
The shadow is not the enemy. It formed to protect you once. Thank it. Then decide if you still need it.

What you looked at today loses some of its grip in the light.
You do not need to fix it. Awareness is the first movement.

This is a personal reflection tool. If difficult feelings surface and you would like support, reaching out to a trusted person or a licensed professional is a good step.
